Methods Of Coaching
Coaching makes use of methods which help you to
focus - and keep focus
create viable structures
approach issues from a new angle
recognise and assess your interests and talents
take action

Listening And Questioning
A good coach is an attentive listener and asks many questions. Such questions encourage you as client to describe your situation from alternative viewpoints; and to define for yourself the appropriate solution or approach.
Role Play
Before job interviews, important conversations or other challenging social situations, role play can help diminish fears of what lies ahead. Playing out "worst case scenarios" is good training for how best to behave, and strengthens your self-confidence.
Visualisation and Metaphors
The coach leads you into "another world", where images can be found which symbolise current situations or emotional states. Such symbolic illustrations enable you to gain some distance on your present situation: they open your eyes to possibilities and solutions which you had not been aware of before.
Homework
The results achieved throughout the coaching process are tested and deepened by means of homework, specifically designed with each individual client.
Homework is a central element of coaching: a way of putting theory into practice. It also often comprises essential "spade-work" for the content of subsequent coaching sessions.
